The portakabins which were kindly given to the Hall committee were made ready for the builders to arrive so that they could have a canteen, office space etc.  James Swinton and Co Ltd., the appointed contractor, arrived at the site promptly on 2nd June as promised. 
We are lucky to have an aerial shot of the cleared site which can be seen at the right of the photo.
| Work has continued steadily despite some inclement weather and the foundations are now complete and the drainage well underway.  Committee members, builders and architect hold a site meeting.  Wednesday 30th July sees work begin on the erection of the steel superstructure.  The plans can be seen by contacting a member of the hall committee. |
