Welcome to Souter Quilters

Our meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 7p.m at Argus Centre, Golsawdales, Selkirk.  Anyone, beginners or expert, who is interested in patchwork, quilting and appliqué is welcome.

The Souter Quilters formed in September 2001 to provide an opportunity for quilters in Selkirk and the surrounding area to meet with others who share the same enthusiasm.  We now have around 40 members of all ages and backgrounds.

We have guest speakers, demonstrations, videos, slides, on the 4th Wednesday of the month.  The 2nd Wednesday is a sewing evening when techniques are demonstrated, challenges and group projects are undertaken. Show and tell is a highlight of each meeting.

Workshops are held quarterly on Saturdays as well as Ufo’s (Unfinished Works) days.

We hold an exhibition every two years at "Scott's Selkirk" (the first weekend in December).

Full membership is currently £15 per annum, due in September each year with free attendance at the evening meetings. A quarterly newsletter is also included in the membership fee.  Guests are welcome at £3 an evening.
