What we offer

A registered charity, we undertake joint projects for the benefit of our members. We have funded condition surveys of halls, training events and the Halls Information pack – a guide to running a community building.

We:

• Maintain a local network of individuals active in their communities.
• Hold regular quarterly training and networking meetings on subjects such as: renewable energy and health & safety.
• Administer the annual revenue support grant for member halls from Scottish Borders Council.
• Maintain an emergency repair fund and small grants fund.
• Are the focal point for consultation and action on issues of common concern for example water charges.
• Are a channel of communication for outside organisations/individuals.
• Are members of The Bridge.

The Federation is run by a management committee who are elected annually by the membership. All are involved in running their own village hall and bring their knowledge and experience to the Federation to share with others.
