The M.E. Recovery Group is now known as the Borders ME Group.

Please got to our new website http://www.bmeg.info/

The Group has broadened its objectives to people with M.E. in the region. This local Charity, which offers advice and support to M.E. Sufferers throughout the Scottish Borders, has had the approval of the Office of the Charity Regulator (OSCR) to be known from September 2009 as the "Borders M.E. Group"

This was formally agreed upon at a Special General Meeting held on 18th August. As M.E. is a condition with varying symptoms and decreased abilities, Members and Committee alike came to the conclusion that the workings of the Group and its name should be better reflected.

The Group aims to be an advisory provider, promote awareness, encourage access to services and interests for members, raise funds and recruit fundraising devotees! In addition, it is anticipated that the Group will provide complimentary therapy sessions and Lifestyle Management courses.

Included in these services are the existing monthly Support Group meetings at Kelso and Galashiels.

These are held at:

Mayfield Garden Centre Coffee Shop, Kelso: second Tuesday of each month at 11am.

Asda Supermarket Coffee Shop, Galashiels: fourth Monday of each month at 2pm.
