The M.E. Recovery Group

For Advice/Help on Myalgic Encephalomyopathy and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

The M.E. Recovery Group is a not-for-profit charity which has been formed to offer advice/help to the 100+ M.E./CFS sufferers in the Scottish Borders, with treatment using supplemental treatment and nutritional therapy. The Group became operational in April 2004. This project has been targeted to help that majority of M.E. sufferers, who have become unemployed as a result of the disease, have sometimes been forced to claim State Benefits, and who may be in no position to pay for their own treatment with nutritional therapy. The Group, operating throughout the Borders has helped 14 members return to health, to their communities, and in some cases work. There is as yet no outright cure.

The M.E. Recovery Group regrets that at present it is unable to support any new members that require free supplemental treatment due to all the Group's funds being employed with existing members. However we do not wish to turn anyone away so anyone who contacts the Group needing supplemental treatment, will be placed on a waiting list and contacted as and when more funds become available. Also anyone requiring advice on supplemental and nutritional therapy, with regards to their M.E, is welcome to contact the Group where we will endeavour to help as best we can.
