| EDDLESTON CHILDREN'S FESTIVALEddleston's Children's Festival weekend was once again enjoyed by everyone in the village - young and old alike. Luckily it stayed dry and the children turned out with Mums and dads, grans and grandad's, aunties and uncles to make it a great family time.
Friday evening saw the fancy dress competition and parade round the village while the sports day was held on a beautiful sunny Saturday in Elibank Park. Once again unfortunately we don't have any photos of the sports so if you have some, do please send them to info@eddleston.org.uk Lots more photos of Friday night are in the 2008 Photo Album NURSERY FLOATDon't the nursery children look lovely. We also had a float from the Out of School Club ADVENTURERS

BATMANHere we have Batman hugging a tree - but where's Robin? LEADING THE PARADE
Local farmer Stuart Walker leading the parade round the village. From the school we go down Burnside, onto Edinburgh Road, up Bellfield Crescent and back along Bellfield Road, cross over the main road, down Old Manse Road, into Station Road then back to the Village Hall. Many thanks to the band and to the police who stopped the traffic and made sure we could all cross safely.
