EDDLESTON AFTER SCHOOL FUN CLUB..........

...............is re-inventing itself to be more of an afternoon social club rather than just after school care for children of working parents.  Following a one off 'free-to-all' day on Monday 21st Sept, we are trialling a flat fee of £5 per day (2.45 - 5.45) in an effort to increase numbers.  See our library and the village noticeboards for more info and an application form or call Alison on 07899 740764

................ was set up in 2004 by a voluntary committee of parents, to provide after school care, primarily for the children of Eddleston and the surrounding area.

Today the service operates from Eddleston Village Hall, which is a short walk from Eddleston Primary School.

Our aim is to provide fun and after school care for primary school children, through play and education opportunities that are both fun and challenging. At all times we promote the dignity, privacy, choice, safety, potential, equality and diversity of all users of the service.

WHO ARE WE?

The club is run as a non-profit making community service and is in the process of registering as a charity. Fees are kept to a minimum, and we benefit from fundraising events and grants. Run by a team of qualified and vetted staff, the Club is registered with the Care Commission.

Interested parents/carers and their children are encouraged to come for a pre-admission visit during which staff members will be happy to answer any queries you may have.

For further information on enrolment, employment opportunities or anything else, please telephone the Committee Secretary: Roddy Scott on 0776 500 6764 or email him at Roddy Scott

WHERE AND WHEN?

Come along to the Village Hall and have some fun on school day afternoons.  We are currently open Monday to Thursday during term time from 2.45pm till 5.45 pm. Plans are afoot to extend this to 5 days a week so watch out for more news.  We do not currently operate a breakfast club but this remains a possibility - subject to demand.
