The community based organisations which preceeded Ercidoune Community Development Trust were:-

EARLSTON ACTIVE VILLAGE INITIATIVE 

2001 to 2002

Formed and operated in partnership with:     

                                    Primary Care NHS Trust

                                    Community Education

                                    Local Groups and Organisations

                                    Residents

Their aims were to coordinated community activity in Earlston and to communication of this to the public.

To identified the need to pursue the development of a Community Facility and to develop a group central to Earlston and act as a resource and communication point for other groups.

EARLSTON VILLAGE ASSOCIATION 

2002 to 2006

In partnership with:      Primary Care NHS Trust

                                    Community Education

                                    Local Groups and Organisations

                                    Residents

Their aims being to launch a Community Centre Project Team,to launch and print a ‘Whats on Directory’ on a 2 yearly basis and to actively seek involvement of local groups and residents in achieving these aims
