CIVIC WEEK COMMITTEE

Description of Organisation: Constituted Committee formed 25 years ago to structure Civic Week activities for all ages of the community for the first week of July each year. The Committee also undertakes to fund raise throughout the year. At present there are 23 members.
Meet: First Wednesday of each month until May when we meet fortnightly for June we meet weekly. Following Civic Week there are no meetings until AGM in September.

Description of Organisation: Leader Medical P.P.G. takes in surgeries at Earlston, Factors Park at Lauder and Stow. Broadly speaking its aim is to be an intermediary between the practices and patients. Members hope to be an effective, two-way channel of communication between the doctors, nurses and receptionists at Leader Medical Group and the patients. All patients can be assured that the L.P.G. members have no access whatsoever to patients medical records.
Meet: Approximately every six weeks in Hanover House, Earlston or a venue at Lauder or Stow.

Rugby (Earlston RFC)

Description of organisation: We run two senior sides, and the aim of the club is for the promotion and development of the game of rugby football, played in accordance with the rules of the Scottish Rugby Union. Our first XV plays in the current SRU BT National League Division 5 (East), training takes place Tuesday and Thursday evening commencing at 7.00pm, with majority of matches played on Saturdays during the rugby season late August to April. There is also training for primary school class age’s 4/5/6/7 on Friday evenings on set periods during season. The season cumulates with our annual seven a side tournament normally held first Sunday of May, which is a counting tournament for the Kings of Sevens series in conjunction with Radio Borders.
