 General information

Newspapers are available from Doris Brydon, 1 Treaty Park from 7 am every day.
Milk, eggs and other produce can be delivered by Pete Johnston, again in Treaty Park, tel. 01890 830314.
Waldie Family Butcher’s van visits the west end on Fridays around 13:45.
An Eyemouth fish van also comes to Birgham on Thursdays 11:00-12:00.
The primary school bus for Coldstream picks up at the bus stop at the west end of village at 8.05 am and also at the east end of the village shortly afterwards.
The bus for Berwickshire  High School picks up at the same places from 8.10 am. (See above links for other bus services).
The refuse collection and kerbside recycling is on Wednesday mornings.
The nearest skips for dumping rubbish are at the Council yard in Duns (a bi-weekly service is also available in the Knowes car park in Kelso). Further details from www.scotborders.gov.uk/recycling
The mobile library visits every 3 weeks on a Monday afternoon – 13:00-14:00.
The Post box is located on the north side of the main street beside the 'phone box - collections at 5:30pm (not Sunday).
Nearest Post Office counters are in Eccles (3 miles), Coldstream (3 miles) and Kelso (6 miles).
Community Council - The views of Birgham and consultation with the Scottish Borders Council are communicated through the Leitholm, Eccles and Birgham Community Council. Monthly meetings are held in the villages in turn.
