Welcome to Borders Forum of Councils for Voluntary Service

Until April 2007, Borders Forum of Councils for Voluntary Service (BFCVS) coordinated the work of the four Councils for Voluntary Service (CVSs) which served the Scottish Borders. The CVSs were:

  • Berwickshire Association for Voluntary Service(BAVS)
  • Central Borders Association of Voluntary Service(CBAVS)
  • Roxburgh Association of Voluntary Service(RAVS)
  • Tweeddale Association of Voluntary Organisations(TAVO)
In April 2007 BFCVS merged with CBAVS, RAVS and TAVO to form THE BRIDGE and the work of BFCVS is now largely carried out by The Bridge. Find out more about The Bridge at
BAVS continues to offer a service to voluntary and community groups in Berwickshire.

BFCVS is still responsible for the South of Scotland Network Project.(SoSNet) Click here for more information about the SoSNet project.
