We, at the Second Chance Academy, at the Coldstream Annexe, decided to have a break up party. We all brought something, such as sandwiches sausages rolls, caramel slices and tea loaf and the usual tea, coffee and cold drinks.
The invitations were made by me on the computer and sent out for Tuesday 26^th June 1.30-3.00.
We all got there early on the day to set up tables and chairs, get crockery washed and set out, and get the kettle on ready for when it was needed.
Kelly & William set up the display board, with work that had been done during the term.
We invited some students from Duns, who came with some of their friends and family.

The certificates were made by Catherine, and were given out by June Russell.

Kevin, Lesley and I did a reading on what we had done.

Kevin spoke about Open University and passing his first year.

Lesley said that she took up the computer to help her children with their homework. She then decided to keep on learning and studying for qualifications.

I spoke about using a computer. About going to night school for two sessions and coming to Second Chance Academy to put what I had learned into practice with help from Catherine & Donald which has been very good. I am quite enjoying it, although at times I get a bit lost, but there is always someone there to give a hand.
Everybody had a good time and really enjoyed themselves and our guests all went home happy.
So that was it, doors closed on the Second Chance Academy.
