| Learning for ALL has been successful in receiving funding from the Scottish Executive of £136,203 to develop approaches to developing support for literacy and numeracy intervention in the workplace. The project will be run by three full time staff based at Tower Mill, Hawick. A project Co-ordinator and two Literacies Development Workers will work with small and medium enterprises in Scottish Borders, to develop a menu of literacies interventions aligned to business processes. The project will raise awareness of literacies issues and the benefits of literacy and numeracy intervention in the workplace with employers. Models of delivering literacies in the workplace will be developed for national dissemination. Businesses will benefit from a problem solving approach to their literacy and numeracy issues resulting in an literacies action plan supported by some fixed term delivery of solutions in the workplace.
