Community GuidanceIn this section you can find out more about what Community Guidance is and how it is developed and implemented. What is it? Community Guidance is a partnership approach for linking lifetime guidance to lifelong learning. Community Guidance partners are committed to working with one another, and with individuals and communities across Scotland, to ensure that guidance supports lifelong learning in all its forms.
Community Guidance encompasses information, advice and guidance for:
- Learning
- Work
- Volunteering
- Personal development
In particular, it focuses on community-based delivery - taking services out to people who could benefit from them but who might not seek to access them on their own. The Community Guidance framework and action plans support local priorities for Community Planning and Community Learning & Development strategies. They help to raise the profile of guidance and ensure that individuals, communities and other strategic partnerships are aware of its benefits. What are the benefits? Community guidance can benefit partner organisations, practitioners individuals and communities. Find out more...
