There is a wide range of sticks for sale. Any members wishing to sell sticks on our Stand at the Highland , please contact the Secretary by Tue 8th June ’10 at the latest.
Raffle and a competition to guess how long to make a stick, the prize stick will be at the show.

Oct 24th DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES THE STICK WORKSHOP AT CASTLE DOUGLES HAD TO BE CANCELLED. WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE ; Scottish Crooakmakers Stick Workshop,will be held at Crailing Village hall, Jedburgh. 10am to 5pm.
Do not turn up on the day, you have to book a place to attend.
Cost £25.00, includes breakfast – bacon roll/tea/coffee, and light lunch- soup, filled roll, cake/biscuits/tea/coffee.
Demonstrations will include Bulking and shaping buffalo/rams horn, Cow horns, Fish/birds heads, straightening shanks, thistle, wood. The Demonstrators for the day will be Mr Dane Love, Cumnock, Mr Arthur Dent, Doune, Mr Philip Roskell, Moffat, Mr Drew Oliver, Newcastleton, and Mr Martin Trinder, Dumfries.
Participants of the Show will have the chance to enter sticks in a stick show.

There were demonstrations on various aspects of stickmaking.
Fifty one people registered to come along on the day, to learn many of the skills it takes to make and finish walking sticks. A very enjoyable day was had by all who attended and our thanks are passed on to the people who demonstrated and helped on the day.

We had a very successful day with 37 people attended the Workshops to learn the various aspects of stickmaking. A big thank you to all for supporting the venue and our appreciation and thanks go to our Demonstrators on the day.
