Cats ready for a new home | Online Borders

We still have a few semi feral cats looking for homes too.

The cats are living around a business with outdoor places they can feel safe and comfortable in but of course the owner of the business is struggling to cope with allowing them to stay there.

The cats are currently fed each night by two extremely kind people and the cats now come around them quite happily. They are not however going to be indoor cats who want to be stroked etc. All they need is a safe place to live and someone to leave food for them once a day.

DIXIE
Dixie is an extremely friendly 14 year old boy. He came to us with Pixie below. He takes one pill a day for his thyroid problem but loves life and is a very affectionate animal.

PIXIE
Pixie is a friendly 14 year old lady who came in with Dixie above. She is a healthy cat. She and Dixie would love a home together without dogs but can live with older children.

KITTY
Kitty is a 6 year old female cat who is a little shy but does enjoy a cuddle on her own terms. She would like a home with no other animals. Kitty could live with older children. Kitty came to us as her owner's daughter was allergic to cats.

MATHILDA
Mathilda is a lovely girl who was found as a stray. She is around 4-6 years old and has become a very friendly girl who looks for the staff and volunteers to come and spend time with her.

HECTOR
Hector was found as a stray in a terrible condition. We had to cut most of his matted fur off which left a large part of his back bald but it is now starting to grow in. He has turned out to be a real softie and just loves lying on his back having his belly rubbed.

SAMBA
Samba is a 5 year old neutered boy. Samba has a very short tail due to a birth defect but it is nothing to worry about and doesn't affect him in any way. Although he started life as a feral kitten, Samba was kept as an indoor cat but would like his new home to have outdoor access. Samba is a very friendly boy that came in with Missie (see below).

BEN
Ben is a very handsome male cat who is 15 years old. He is being fostered as one of his back legs was broken possibly by being hit by a car, wasn't treated so healed with a bend and damage to a ligament. This means he walks with a limp and is unable to jump very much.
He is a quiet friendly boy who sleeps a lot but likes to see around his foster home and lie on laps.

ANNOUSHKA
Annoushka is a 10 year old grey and white cat who has been at the centre for two years. She is an independant cat but loves to curl up on your lap. She needs a home with no children or other animals. Annoushka has outdoor access at the centre.

WIDGET
Widget is an 11 year old tortie girl who loves to sit on your lap for a while She also likes to go out and about in a garden but doesn't stray very far.
She would do best in a home where she can have indoor access to a room without soft furnishings most of the time as she sometimes pees outwith her litter tray but would be happy living in a kitchen with outdoor access and company when she wants it.

MIA is a friendly 7 year old girl. She is a pale tortie cat and is not used to living with other cats, dogs or children but who has spent her life indoors so would really appreciate the chance to get out into a garden.

MISTY is a small friendly 12 year old lady who was born with a short tail. Misty would appreciate a home without other cats, dogs and would prefer older children.

KITTY is a llittle 2 year old girl who has had a terrible time in the past few months as she was caught in a snare which damaged her back.
She still has problems with toileting in her litter tray but the vets have said to give her time to heal. Her walking is usually fine but occasionally she has a weakness in her back legs which doesn't appear to cause her any distress and she carries on going round the room.
Kitty is the most affectionate little cat and loves attention.

CASPER is a friendly 6 year old boy whose owners are moving to live on a busy road and didn't think this was fair on Caspar. He is used to dogs, and children and may get on with another cat. Casper loves the countryside.

MISSIE
Missie is a very friendly 7 year old girl. She came in with Samba(see above). Missie has been an indoor cat all her life but we want Missie to have the option of going outside in her new home if she wants to. Missy is starting to get a waist and is looking much slimmer.

Sooty is a friendly 5 year old boy. He is used to other cats, dogs and children. Sooty was kept indoors and wants to go outside which is why he is being re-homed.

Lynx(named by staff) was brought in as a stray so all we know about him is that he is friendly and a boy.

ANNIE
Annie is a 1 year old black and white cat. Annie is a friendly girl and although not used to living with dogs, cats or children she would be able to be introduced to them.
